Keepfile Pro
One payment. No subscription, no account, no expiry.
ProWhat the free version already does
Everything for one file at a time: hitting a size target, converting between formats, keeping the audio. No account, no watermark, no upload. That does not change and it does not expire. If one file at a time is enough for you, stop reading, it is free.
What you get for $39
- Batch conversion
- Drop thirty files, walk away, come back to thirty finished files. A server-based tool cannot give you this without thirty uploads, which is the part that takes an hour. Here there is no upload, so the only cost is your own CPU.
- The offline app
- Install it once and it runs with the network off: on a plane, on hotel wifi, inside a network that blocks file-sharing sites. It is the same code, cached.
- 4K output
- Free output is capped at 1080p because 4K takes noticeably longer. If you actually need 2160p, it is here.
- Subtitle burn-in
- Burn an SRT into the picture so it survives re-uploads and players that ignore subtitle tracks.
$39, once
Not per month. Not per file. Not per device. You get a license key, you paste it into the tool, and it is yours.
Paid through Polar, which handles the invoice and any VAT. Refunded on request within 14 days, no questions.
Why one payment and not a subscription
A subscription would mean charging you every month for a tool that costs almost nothing to run, because it runs on your machine, not a server. There is no per-file cost on this end to pass on to you. Charging monthly would be charging for the right to keep using something already downloaded.
What happens to your files
Nothing leaves your computer, on the free version and on Pro. The paid part is not a server, it is a switch in the same local code. You can check this with DevTools open on the Network tab: converting a file produces no request carrying it. The site also ships a Content-Security-Policy that forbids connections to anywhere but itself, so the browser enforces it whether or not you trust the claim.
The license check is the one request that exists. It sends the key string and nothing else.
Questions
How many computers can I use the key on?
Yours. There is no device count and no activation limit, because there is no account system to enforce one.
What if my key stops working?
Once verified, the key is stored in your browser and the tool works offline. A failed re-check does not lock you out.
Do I get future features?
Yes. It is one purchase of the tool, not a version.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days, by replying to the receipt email.
